If in the Download Custom Microbial Reference Database wizard you choose “Build database from taxonomic lineages” in combination with the inclusion criteria “One per genus”, the resulting genome selection may be incorrect i.e. genomes with different taxonomic lineage than requested are selected, and lineages that should have been selected are not.
If you used the inclusion criteria “One per genus” to build your databases, we recommend that you rerun Download Custom Microbial Reference Database and use one of the alternative inclusion criteria and/or manually select genomes in the Database Builder.
This issue affects CLC Microbial Genomics Module 23.0.1 and earlier.
